Job Title: Insulation Specialist

Join PB-23 DRYWALL & CONSTRUCTION LTD. as an Insulation Specialist and contribute to the success of our team. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation in various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select the appropriate type of insulation required for the project
  • Instruct apprentices on insulation installation techniques
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
  • Supervise other workers on the job site
  • Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials
  • Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers
  • Estimate costs and materials for insulation projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan insulation projects
  • Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for insulation projects
Work Environment:

As an Insulation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in confined spaces. You will be required to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in insulation installation and maintenance
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of communication
  • 40 hours per week
