Chief Information Security and Risk Management Specialist

CoreFactor Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Security and Risk Management Specialist to join their team on a permanent/full-time basis.
The role is hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to work in the office two to three times per week.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in information security, risk management, and compliance. As a Senior Information Security, Compliance & Risk Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement information security policies that align with the organization's security goals.
Your key areas of focus will include:
- Developing technical drafts for individual policies addressing programs, network connectivity security, wireless security, incident handling, and password utilization
- Preparing gap analyses for management to advance the organization's technology goals and objectives
- Providing information assurance and subject matter expertise as required in support of panels, committees, and working groups
- Ensuring security compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with internal departments to improve security-related risks
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Post-secondary diploma/degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in security evaluation/analysis and/or risk assessments within a technology-focused industry
- Working knowledge of system and network security engineering best practices
- Familiarity with basic information security documentation requirements, certification, and accreditation processes
- Expertise in common security tool use
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines
- Highly organized with excellent project management skills
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (dependent on experience)
