Job Summary

Bridge Atlas Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team in Mississauga. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating gluing and folding machinery to produce high-quality finished products according to customer specifications and deadlines.

About the Role

The primary focus of this role is setting up and operating equipment to glue and fold various materials as per job requirements. You will be required to inspect the quality and accuracy of folded materials, troubleshoot any machine breakdowns, and conduct minor repairs and routine maintenance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate gluing and folding equipment to produce finished products according to customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Adjust machine settings for different job requirements, ensuring precise glue application and accurate folding.
  • Monitor the quality of output, conducting visual inspections to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on gluing and folding machines to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the production team to schedule jobs and ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, maintenance performed, and production output to assist in inventory management and process improvement.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as printing and cutting, to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality end products.
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating gluing and folding machines within a printing or packaging environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and blueprints.
  • Basic math skills for calculating material requirements and adjustments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and other departments.
