Your Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Energy Pipeline Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our experienced engineers and designers to deliver high-quality pipeline projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work with general supervision and direction on small pipeline projects, contributing to the evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and experts within the company to ensure compliance with applicable codes, design and construction specifications, and engineering standards/practices.
  • Provide technical input and guidance to design activities undertaken by design/drafting staff, ensuring deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Contribute to cost estimates for small to large-sized projects, working collaboratively with other disciplines.
  • Perform design work, ensuring accuracy in drafting pipeline alignment sheets, detailed crossings plans, and related pipeline facilities.
  • Create material requisitions and review quotations for compliance with technical specifications.
  • Interface with other departments, project managers, engineers, clients, and vendors to ensure a smooth project flow.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and collaborate with the project team to determine and achieve project objectives.
  • Field-based engineering construction support opportunities may be available on a project-specific basis.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness, work independently, and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Participation and collaboration in a project team setting, engaging in creative and critical thought.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering concepts and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
