Accounting Professor Position at Thompson Rivers University

Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant and/or Associate Professor in Accounting. The successful candidate will teach and conduct research in the field of accounting, with a focus on ESG reporting, corporate governance, and corporate innovation.
The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Law at TRU Gaglardi is a supportive and collegial team, with approximately 20 full-time departmental faculty members. The department delivers core courses to all BBA, graduate, and post-baccalaureate diploma students and manages the Accounting and Finance Majors and Minors.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly teaching and research in the field of accounting. They should possess a PhD in Accounting or a related field, with a proven record of teaching and research in accounting. A Canadian CPA designation is preferred.
The research focus of the accounting faculty is currently in the areas of ESG reporting, corporate governance, corporate innovation, accounting fraud, and the use of archival or experiential methods. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a research focus in these areas to help contribute to and/or expand the department's expertise.

- Examples of scholarly research
- A teaching dossier including a statement of teaching philosophy, peer teaching assessments, student teaching evaluations, course outlines, and any other materials that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Names and contact information of at least three references.
Short-listed applicants will be required to provide:
- At least three letters of reference.
- Copies of undergraduate, graduate, and PhD transcripts, or preferably before.
