Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team at Scotiabank. As an Associate Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and managing discretionary portfolios for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and comprehensive contact
  • Ensure all portfolios are compliant with clients' Investment Policy Statements
  • Network internally to promote and understand the value proposition of Private Investment Counsel services
  • Stay up-to-date on financial matters affecting client investment activities
  • Collaborate with specialists to provide a comprehensive financial, practice, and life program for clients
  • Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment
  • Develop business, network, and pipeline building skills to drive business growth
Requirements
  • Level 1 CFA or Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation with 24 months of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of qualifying experience, specific to becoming registered as an Associate Advising Representative
  • College or University degree
