About the Role

We are seeking a talented and client-focused Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team at MD Financial Management.

As an Associate Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client relationship management for discretionary portfolio management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships through regular and comprehensive contact
  • Ensure all portfolios are compliant with clients' Investment Policy Statements
  • Network internally to promote and understand the value proposition of Private Investment Counsel services
  • Stay up-to-date on financial matters affecting client investment activities
  • Collaborate with specialists to provide a comprehensive financial, practice, and life program for clients
  • Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment
  • Be responsible for business development, networking, pipeline building, business planning, and closing business
  • Travel as required
Requirements
  • Level 1 CFA or Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation with 24 months of relevant investment management experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience, specific to becoming registered as an Associate Advising Representative
  • College or University degree
