Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Forensic Community Nurse to join our team at the Forensic Regional Clinic, BC Mental Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of regional clinic staff to ensure efficient and effective client care delivery.
  • Monitor client care and follow-up, evaluate quality of client care, and ensure adherence to established policies and protocols.
  • Act as a clinical resource for the multidisciplinary team and students, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and continuity of care.
  • Ensure the dissemination of information concerning BC Review Board matters to staff and clients in a timely manner.
  • Coach team members and coordinate training for regional program staff.
  • Coordinate requests for vacation days, special education, and other leaves of absence.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three years of recent, related experience working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness, including one year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
