Responsibilities- Personal Care and ADLs: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including laundry, cleaning, and organization.
- Accompaniment and Errands: Escort clients on outings and assist with shopping and errands as needed.
- Medication Reminders: Help clients remember to take their medications on time.
- Ambulation and Transportation: Assist clients with walking and transferring, as well as providing transportation to appointments and outings.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities and conversations to promote their well-being.
- Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate records of client care, including progress notes and medication administration.
- Current Clean Background Check: Possess a valid background check or be willing to obtain one.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to Coquitlam as needed.
- Access to Technology: Possess a reliable means of accessing the internet and mobile phone.
- Experience in Palliative or Hospice Care: Previous experience working with palliative or hospice clients is an asset.
- Personal Care and Transfer Experience: Experience assisting with personal care and transfers is also an asset.
