Job Summary

The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide personalized care services to meet the unique needs of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Prepare meals and snacks
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Accompany clients on outings and errands
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance
  • Ambulate and transport clients as needed
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Document and chart client progress
Qualifications
  • Current clean background check or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to travel to Coquitlam
  • Access to internet and mobile phone
  • Experience in palliative or hospice care is an asset
  • Personal care and transfer assistance experience is also an asset
