Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at DBA Taco Del Mar. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Dishroom Operations: Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand, and scour pots and pans.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including portioning, wrapping, and packaging take-out food.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure proper disposal.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
