About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at DBA Taco Del Mar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including sharpening kitchen knives, sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
