We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to support our client in Guelph, Ontario. As the ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience working in an administration or customer service role from a manufacturing, logistics, or transportation environment.
This long-term contract opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $23-25 depending on experience. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with excellent hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm. This position involves working fully onsite at the company location in Guelph.
About the Role
- Handle scale operations and logistics for waste management
- Communicate with drivers through a speaker system in a commercial facility
- Complete customs paperwork and dispatching (training provided)
- Prepare and send border paperwork, as well as conduct driver check-ins
- Learn new transportation software (TRUX) and utilize MS Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams on a daily basis
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration and/or customer service from a manufacturing, logistics/transportation environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment driven by deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Experience with computers and MS Office Suite required (Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
