Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to join our team at Juanita Ganotice Peralta. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to clients in their own homes.

About the Role

This is a temporary position, requiring approximately 30-35 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on client care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Provide companionship and support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, or watching movies together
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Cook simple meals and snacks for clients
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and clean environment for clients
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Basic security clearance
  • Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, patience, and honesty
Working Conditions

Optional accommodation may be available at no charge on a live-in basis. Work will take place in the employer's/client's home, with a focus on providing personalized care and support.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $25-$35 CAD per hour, based on industry standards and location. This is a competitive salary that reflects the importance of this role in providing high-quality care to our clients.
