We are currently hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Home Support Workers (HSWs) for Live In shifts in Toronto and Scarborough.

The role of a Home Support Worker at Spectrum Health Care involves working closely with our patients and their families, providing personal care and support with activities of daily living.

To succeed in this role, you will require one of the following qualifications: Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program; Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate or completion of Term 1 of a PSW program; RN/RPN Student who has completed year one of the program; Internationally licensed Nurse, Midwife or Physician.

You will also need physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, crouching, kneeling and reaching freely for extended periods, lifting 23 kg independently, assisting clients with standing, walking, sitting, and repositioning clients in bed.

Additionally, you must demonstrate exceptional personal care and customer service skills, have valid First Aid and Level C CPR certification, a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check, updated immunization record including TB Test, and proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
