Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced URD Foreman to join our team at Vscontracting. As a URD Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a crew and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Crew Activities
    • Oversee the daily activities of crew members, sub-contractors, and equipment on site.
    • Ensure uniformity and compliance with contract specifications.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality
    • Conduct daily field safety and environmental inspections as required.
    • Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Manage Resources and Documentation
    • Ensure the materials required are available before they are needed.
    • Review, complete, and make corrections to all required documentation.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members
    • Provide guidance and support to team members.
    • Hold team members accountable for their results.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Minimum five years' experience in shallow utility construction industry.
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
    • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
    • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate.
    • Valid Ground Disturbance Certificate.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong ability to read construction prints.
    • Ability to navigate/complete app-based programs for safety and production paperwork.
