Job Summary:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team in the Northern Lights District. As a key member of our Operations Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our pipeline assets.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a sustainable maintenance and reliability program for all District assets. This will involve working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations stakeholders to define, design, develop, monitor, and continuously improve maintenance and reliability practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial plant maintenance, operations, or engineering, with experience applying maintenance and reliability tools and processes at a practical level.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment up-time and optimize life cycle costs
- Coordinate the rationalization of spare parts for critical equipment and optimize warehouse management
- Collaborate with the site Warehouse team to analyze and optimize spare parts usage
- Work with the Area Foremen to provide stewardship and oversight of Maintenance Department procedures
- Assist Foremen with maintenance training and competency development
- Support the Risk Registry with the identification of problems, threats, and opportunities
- Provide technical support to Planners and Schedulers in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and scheduling mechanical work
- Identify equipment to be monitored and build criticality rankings
- Support financial processes and promote cost savings initiatives
- Work with Foreman to drive positive workplace culture and increase engagement

Requirements:

- Trade (JM) Certification
- 10+ years of experience working in an industrial plant maintenance, operations, or engineering environment
- Experience applying maintenance and reliability tools and processes at a practical level
- Strong knowledge of hydrocarbon industry, automation, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical rotating or static equipment
- Strong investigative skills and ability to ask questions to draw out required information
- Good judgment in problem-solving and timely decision-making
- Familiarity with RCM, RCA, and RAM, ERP (SAP), Process Historian tools
- Strong literacy in data analysis methods
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional approach to dealing with Pembina staff, vendors, and engineering contractors
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to manage task assignments in a matrix organization and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Team player with ability to collaborate across all disciplines in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to create informal networks across departments to influence continuous improvement and change
- Self-aware and able to recognize when stress or fatigue is impacting personal performance and take steps to mitigate
