Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at StrongPoint Automation Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and control systems, with experience in PLC and Fanuc robotics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, install, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems, including PLC hardware and software.
  • Assist in the implementation, upgrading, and debugging of PLC software applications and robotic applications.
  • Test and troubleshoot variable speed AC drive systems.
  • Perform various troubleshooting and implementation of electrical equipment and circuits.
  • Interpret schematic diagrams and construct related circuits for automation equipment control applications.
  • Commissioning of equipment on site, including PLC, Robotics, HMI's, and other control components.
  • Set-up and diagnostics of industrial networks: ControlNet, DeviceNet, and EtherNet.
  • Training of on-site personnel.
Requirements
  • A College Diploma in Electrical Technology or University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in PLC and Fanuc robotics.
  • Extensive PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Allen Bradley – Rockwell Software: RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, and RSView32.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
