Vaco is a leading provider of professional staffing services, with a strong presence in the Greater Toronto Area. Our client is a well-established company in the entertainment industry, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee the month-end financial close process for various operating companies within the group. The successful candidate will review manual journal entries, AP module, and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as generate and review monthly and annual financial statements. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will provide coaching, training, and accounting development to junior members of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee month-end financial close process for various operating companies within the group
  • Review manual journal entries, AP module, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Generate and review monthly and annual financial statements
  • Provide coaching, training, and accounting development to junior members of the Finance team
  • Manage day-to-day banking requirements, including fraudulent transactions, stop payments, and EFT processing
  • Contribute to annual financial statement audits
  • Conduct financial and non-financial analysis to make recommendations to senior management
About You
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum of 4 years working in an accounting position or relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or Sage products an asset
Salary Range

$95,000-$105,000/year
