About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at B D Convenience Store. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Will train or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, with good judgement, organized, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
