Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at HF Sinclair Corporation. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and executing preliminary stages of projects, developing problem definitions, and evaluating potential solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop project plans, including project objectives, success criteria, and resource allocation
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Design and develop process systems, including process design, cost estimation, and economic analysis
- Conduct process hazards analysis and provide safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, to ensure effective project execution
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to operations, equipment utilization, and process efficiency
- Provide technical assistance to the business, including technology evaluation and selection
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers and contribute to the development of the engineering team
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive work experience in chemical engineering and project management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft software applications and engineering concepts, including process simulations
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, including API, ASME, NFPA, ANSI, and OSHA
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid provincial driver's license and proof of insurance required
