We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at DKM Millwork Design Inc. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our woodworking projects.
Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
- Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project specifications.
- Install and Fit Components: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Train and Mentor Apprentices: Instruct and mentor apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in finish carpentry.
- Operate Hand Tools: Operate hand tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in finish carpentry.
- Work Setting: Various locations, including our workshop and job sites.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
