About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at RAVEN FINE HOMES INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet project requirements.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying work conditions, including heights, confined spaces, noisy, and dusty areas.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to work accurately, make sound judgments, and demonstrate reliability.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Availability to work 35 to 46 hours per week.
