Job Title: Senior Manager, Donor Relations

Perimeter Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Donor Relations to join our Advancement team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about advancing the Institute's mission.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Donor Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive donor relations strategy that fosters strong relationships with our donors and stakeholders. This will involve working closely with our scientists, staff, and volunteers to create meaningful experiences that connect our donors with the Institute's research and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a donor relations strategy that aligns with the Institute's overall advancement goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our donors and stakeholders through regular communication, stewardship, and recognition
  • Collaborate with our scientists and staff to create meaningful experiences for our donors, including events, visits, and updates
  • Manage and coordinate donor recognition and stewardship activities, including the design and production of impact reports and other materials
  • Work with our Training, Educational Outreach, and Scientific Programs team to manage donor-supported student awards
  • Develop and track metrics to measure the effectiveness of our donor relations programming
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a field related to business, fundraising, or events management
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in development, donor relations, advancement services, and/or special events
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing donor relations strategies and programs
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM fundraising databases
