Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team at the Carleton Victoria Wood Producers Association. As a key member of our forestry team, you will be responsible for operating power tools to thin and space trees, pruning trees, and performing other tasks related to tree care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate chain saws and other power tools to thin and space trees
  • Prune trees to maintain healthy growth and appearance
  • Write daily progress reports to track work completed
  • Graft trees to promote healthy growth
  • Cut weeds and undergrowth to maintain a safe working environment
  • Dig ditches and trenches as needed
Requirements
  • Experience operating power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Willingness to relocate for this position
