Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch grooming services to dogs and cats, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Shampooing: Bathe and shampoo animals using gentle and effective products, paying close attention to their coat type and skin condition.
  • Coat Styling: Clip and style animal coats to achieve a clean and healthy appearance, using various techniques and tools.
  • Animal Behavior Monitoring: Observe and document animal behavior, identifying any signs of stress or discomfort, and taking necessary steps to ensure their well-being.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of animals treated, including their medical history, grooming needs, and any notable observations.
  • Client Communication: Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in pet grooming or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Hot, wet/damp, noisy, odours, air conditioned.
  • Work Setting: Pet grooming shop, service, sales.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
