Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pet grooming services to our clients, ensuring their pets receive the highest level of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Shampooing: Bathe and shampoo animals, ensuring their coats are clean and well-groomed.
  • Clipping and Styling: Clip and style animal coats to achieve a professional and polished look.
  • Documenting Animal Behaviour: Document animal behavior and provide detailed reports to our clients.
  • Monitoring Animal Behaviour: Monitor animal behavior and take necessary actions to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Conducting Anal Glands Treatment: Conduct anal glands treatment on animals as required.
  • Keeping Records: Keep accurate records of animals treated and services provided.
  • Cleaning Animal Ears: Clean animal ears to prevent infections and promote healthy hearing.
  • Providing Flea Bath Treatments: Provide flea bath treatments to animals as required.
  • Clipping Animal Nails: Clip animal nails to prevent overgrowth and promote healthy nail health.
  • Performing Expert Clipping: Perform expert clipping on show animals using specialized tools.
  • Performing Dental Cleaning: Perform dental cleaning on domestic animals to promote healthy teeth and gums.
  • Training Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Receiving Payments: Receive payments from clients and process transactions efficiently.
  • Providing Client Information: Provide clients with information on services offered and pricing.
  • Explaining Services: Explain the type and cost of services offered to clients.
  • Cleaning Work Area: Clean the work area to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in pet grooming or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player.
