Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at Leonardo Sales LPS Drywall. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete installations safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Excellent physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
