Drywall Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation and Finishing Expert to join our team at Leonardo Sales LPS Drywall. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential settings.

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a professional appearance.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a seamless finish.
• Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years or more of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
• Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
