Job Summary:

Teladoc Health Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Physician to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients presenting to our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and diagnose patients presenting to our platforms, providing high-quality medical care and treatment.
  2. Provide support to multiple health facilities virtually, working closely with medical, nursing, and management teams.
  3. Participate in huddles and handover sessions at the start and end of shifts, ensuring seamless communication and patient care.
  4. Escalate cases as required to designated shift leaders and/or medical leadership teams.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to advance relationship-based culture and support team members across programs.
  6. Support the development of care plans for patients, coordinating with nursing teams and ordering labs and imaging as needed.
  7. Respond to issues that arise during the day, providing effective solutions and ensuring patient safety.
  8. Interdisciplinary rounds and effective handovers to next teams.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of direct clinical experience as a Hospitalist Physician (considering 1 year of direct clinical experience).
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Physician in Canada (in good standing), with a CCFP designation (strong asset for CCFP(EM) designation).
  • Experience working with diverse clinical care team members and a proven track record of success.
  • Experience working in the digital health sector is preferred.
  • Must be currently residing in BC province.
  • A strong desire to evolve the landscape of future healthcare, with a focus on quality, innovation, and accessibility.
  • A history of strong clinical performance and a passion for delivering high-quality and safe medical care.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and computer-based applications.
