Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 per year, which takes into account the candidate's qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and market conditions. Our aim is to ensure fair compensation practices that align with industry standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a Regional Vice President (Wholesaler) who will work with our Retail Sales team to grow our business on Vancouver Island and Vancouver. This individual will be responsible for generating sales, developing new business, and servicing existing clients. Effective territory management and planning are key to achieving sales, product diversity, and budget targets.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for the financial services industry and a desire to align with a high-performing brand. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities
  • Expand and maintain high-quality business relationships with Investment Advisors by ensuring ongoing product and sales support to existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new relationships and opportunities with prospective clients within the territory to drive sales.
  • Aarrange one-on-one, group, and/or branch meetings with financial advisors to promote new and existing company products.
  • Service and educate advisors through presentations, branch meetings, and road shows. Assist advisors with business-building strategies.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed activity targets and sales goals.
  • Maintain detailed notes within CRM of meetings, conversations, and all types of interactions with clients and prospects.
  • Work extensively and within a team environment to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives.
  • Contribute to the overall PenderFund team by participating in initiatives, developing, and sharing information on best practices and sales strategies.
Requirements
  • A minimum 5+ years' experience in a sales role in the asset management/investment industry.
  • University degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Completion of or working towards an advanced certification, such as CFA, MBA, CFP, or CIM.
  • Strong interest and knowledge in capital markets, particularly of the stock and bond markets, and how they relate to mutual funds and alternative investment products.
  • Ability to keep up-to-date on past, current, and future trends in the financial services industry.
  • A willingness to pursue new and creative ideas, motivation to achieve results, dedicated, and energetic.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal & written.
  • An individual contributor who excels in a team environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to use their initiative in maximizing sales.
  • Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
