Sessional Instructor: Human Anatomy and Comparative Studies

OCAD University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Instructor to teach Human and Comparative Anatomy in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Course OverviewThe course, SCTM-2014: Human and Comparative Anatomy, is a 0.5 credit course that explores the fascinating world of human and comparative anatomy. Through lectures, labs, and drawing analyses, students will study the musculoskeletal anatomy of humans and related species, examining how anatomic forms can be understood as adaptations for survival.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver course outlines, studio preparation, and lectures, critiques, grading, mid-term evaluations, and final evaluations/reviews.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are met and academic and curricular requirements are fulfilled.
- A terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional/practical experience.
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level is an asset, with equivalent relevant experience considered.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment.
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with a salary level of $6,000 per 0.5 credit course, plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
