Position Overview
This role is essential in supporting the collective efforts to prepare and showcase a premium shopping experience for all Farm Boy patrons. The execution of responsibilities must ensure a quality service approach to all customers, colleagues, and suppliers. All tasks must be carried out in alignment with the Farm Boy Way.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold Farm Boy's vision of the premier fresh shopping experience. Adhere to Farm Boy Service Standards by welcoming, greeting, and providing assistance to customers as needed. Maintain cleanliness and safety in work, storage, and store areas at all times through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Follow all corporate policies, particularly those related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and equipment usage. Execute designated opening and closing procedures and assist fellow team members as requested. Support inventory management and procurement of store supplies as needed. May be asked to perform other related tasks on an occasional basis.Required Qualifications
Excellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Generally requires 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar field. Capability to work independently with a strong emphasis on quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness. Ability to collaborate in a team setting with effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.Work Environment:
Potential exposure to challenging or unpleasant environmental factors such as noise, dirt, dust, and vibration. Required to adjust to temperature variations occasionally (working on the retail floor as well as in coolers, freezers, and outdoors). Providing service to multiple individuals or departments while managing several simultaneous deadlines. May need to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment. Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy items.Additional Information
