Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Turning Point Brands Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Receiving: Determine the most efficient method of shipment, schedule transportation conveyances, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Inventory Management: Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, maintain internal record-keeping systems, and record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Warehouse Operations: Route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, and unpack goods received.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in inventory control software and MS Outlook.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
