Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Zida Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our childcare centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful environment for children and staff.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Medical exam, immunization records, tuberculosis test, and vulnerable sector check.
  • Own transportation or access to public transportation.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals. The work environment is noisy, non-smoking, and air-conditioned.
