Program Overview


MCD McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada's Intern program is a 10-12 week long experience designed to provide:

Work Term:


We offer a challenging and rewarding work term as a Transportation Analyst Intern. This role will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transportation analytics and supply chain management while working closely with our business team and internal partners.


Responsibilities:


As a Transportation Analyst Intern, your key responsibilities will include:


KPI Development:



  • Create and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for the business team using Power BI, highlighting trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze transportation data to drive insights and inform decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, ensuring seamless communication across teams.

Process Improvement:



  • Utilize common transportation tools and methodologies to enhance processes for the team, internal partners, and customers, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and track their impact, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Project Coordination:



  • Assist with ongoing projects such as Optimization/Insourcing strategies, Track and Trace initiatives, and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) utilization, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Provide support in project planning, execution, and monitoring to guarantee successful outcomes, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills.

Freight Pay Review:



  • Review and analyze freight pay processes to identify areas for improvement, streamlining operations and reducing costs.
  • Develop strategies to optimize freight payment processes, collaborating with the finance team to implement and monitor improvements.

Qualifications:


To be considered for this role, you should possess:



  • A current or recent Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools, with the ability to create insightful reports and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management) is an asset, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to effectively utilize these tools to drive results.

Our Salary Range for this position is between $17.90 and $29.03 per hour.
