We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Student to join our team at PCL Construction Management Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials/assets and services, developing reports and dashboards, expediting deliveries, and ensuring all purchases are conducted ethically and legally.
Key Responsibilities:- Purchasing: Purchase materials/assets and services as directed, using cost-effective approaches.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain reports and Power BI dashboards based on business needs.
- Expedition: Proactively expedite and follow up on all aspects of the purchasing process with suppliers.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchases are conducted ethically and legally.
- Analysis: Prepare and analyze Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Management Information Systems specialization.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Laws and Regulations: Basic exposure to applicable laws and regulations related to procurement activities.
- Supply Chain: Basic understanding of supply chain process, project life cycle, procurement best practices, and risk.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.
