We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Foreperson to join our team of experienced personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to contribute positively to every project.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and public entities
- Provide constructability input during project engineering where opportunities arise
- Ensure profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction
- Assist with labour management, develop three-week look-ahead schedules to ensure project milestones are met and resources are optimally allocated
- Develop project master schedules with the Project Manager or Construction Manager. Ensure progress aligns with this master schedule and identify needs and deficiencies in the schedule
- Manage the project budget effectively and develop recovery strategies when project schedules or budgets are at risk
- Plan and supervise project work, including determining methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules
- Accountable for productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project Ensure project completion meets standards and recommend work processes to improve productivity and product quality
- Identify training needs for the crew and facilitate the delivery of that training
- Responsible for fostering a safe work culture and ensuring the safety of the crew; must understand the legal liability associated with this role
- Responsible for ensuring crew members adhere to safe working conditions and are fit for work each day
- Conduct regular 'safety tool box' meetings
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs
- Recognize, address, and resolve issues/problems among/between crews
- Collaborate with end-users in occupied buildings to minimize disruptions to their daily activities
- Prepare reports as required by the employer
- Maintain a Superintendent's log or diary
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, and discipline
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A valid Journeyperson Plumber or Pipefitter certificate
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS)
- Current Standard First Aid certificate
- Previous supervisory experience, typically evidenced by 5 years' experience as a Foreperson
