Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwich & Salads. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Manage Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our financial parameters.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we provide a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have a clear understanding of our business performance.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, providing insights into our business performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, manage budget and cost estimates, address customer complaints, maintain records, and prepare reports.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and team player.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
