About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Executive to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of organizational policies and programs related to engineering
  • Authorize and establish major engineering departments and associated senior staff positions
  • Coordinate the work of engineering regions, divisions, or departments
  • Establish objectives for the engineering organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions related to engineering
  • Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff for engineering roles; delegate necessary authority and create optimum working conditions

Supervision and Team Management

  • Lead a team of 16-20 people in various areas of engineering responsibility

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal awareness and team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload
