Compensation Package
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid vacation time.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Life Skills Worker to join our Mental Health & Substance Use Team at Tamarack Cottage in Cranbrook, B.C. As a key member of our team, you will provide structured support services to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
About the Role
This position involves working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use problems, providing support in daily living activities, skill development, and problem-solving. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting support plans as needed;
- Providing education and training on life skills and independent living;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services;
- Documenting client information and progress in accordance with IH policies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate in a field relevant to the position;
- One year recent related experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use problems;
- Valid certificates in CPR, First Aid, Food Safe;
- A current valid BC Driver's License.
