Respiratory Therapist for NICU

BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health status, record and report findings to identify and document patient status.
  • Collaborate with the Respiratory Therapy team, multi-disciplinary team, patient and family to develop and modify patient care plans.
  • Provide Respiratory Therapy care, performing functions commensurate with level of education and training, under the supervision of a registered Respiratory Therapist.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a related field and successful completion of Level 1 of clinical placement from an accredited and recognized Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Continued enrollment in a recognized education program and certification in Basic Life Support or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, organize workload, and think critically.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
