Cardio-Respiratory Care Professional for NICU
At PHSA, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. As a Cardio-Respiratory Care Professional for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and intensive cardio-respiratory care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Support the NICU's interdisciplinary team with respiratory therapy expertise.
- Operate respiratory equipment for patient care, including initial setup, ongoing quality control procedures, and initiating appropriate adjustments required by care.
- Recommend and administer individualized medical gas therapies for patients.
- Provide invasive and non-invasive cardio-pulmonary monitoring.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care examination.
- Current and continuing registration with British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
