Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a skilled Commercial Insurance Expert to support our commercial lines sales team in developing marketing strategies, negotiating coverage terms and pricing, and providing recommendations for comprehensive and competitive insurance options that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to take commercial submissions to the next level
  • Stay current on market and industry trends and provide technical advice to colleagues
  • Build strong relationships with insurance markets, attend industry events, and report on industry trends to the Commercial team
  • Attend onsite risk inspections and client presentations as needed

Requirements:

  • 5 years of commercial insurance experience
  • RIBO license is required or ability to obtain
  • CAIB, CIP, or CRM designation (or working towards designation) would be an asset
  • Cross-border and specialty lines expertise is considered an asset
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with a can-do attitude
  • Supportive team player
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities regularly in a fast-paced environment
