Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team at DQ Grill & Chill. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high-quality food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and manage food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Support for Veterans: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
