Job Summary

GearCo Industrial Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for laying out reference points and patterns, assembling and fitting plates and sections to form structures, and welding or bolting sections together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, using welding or bolting techniques
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to fabricate components
  • Construct patterns and templates to guide fabrication processes
  • Install fabricated components in final products, ensuring precise fit and finish
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in using computer numerical control (CNC) machines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

The Metal Fabricator will work in a manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to heavy machinery, metalworking processes, and physical demands. A safe and healthy work environment is ensured by following company policies and procedures.
