Job Title: Methods Planner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Methods Planner to join our team at AAA Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reading aerospace prints, preparing planning associated with parts, and developing manufacturing procedures for assembly, composites, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and read aerospace prints to identify production requirements
- Prepare planning associated with parts, including estimating costs and material requirements
- Develop manufacturing procedures for assembly, composites, and manufacturing, ensuring compliance with engineering and customer specifications
- Estimate costs for assembly, composites, and manufacturing using engineering models
- Obtain cost and material estimates from sub-contractors
- Plan the flow of parts and materials to meet production schedules
- Work with the MRP system to manage tool orders, item masters, planning, and document control functions
- Develop and carry out work study and related programs to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Conduct work measurement and other studies to optimize production processes
- Collect and compile operational data to assist in the development of estimates, schedules, and reports
- Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules, and reports for management
- Develop integrated manufacturing procedures to ensure seamless production processes
- Analyze cost reduction opportunities and implement process improvements
- Design, develop, and conduct time studies and work simplification programs to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Use CAD data to support manufacturing planning and production
- Visit other facilities to coordinate work and assist with fabrication
- Ensure configuration control to contract
Requirements:
- Equivalent 4 years of high school plus
- Job experience for 3 to 5 years
- Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering certificate/degree would be an asset
- Experience in the field of aeronautics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in SAP software and MS Office, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel, Catia V5
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
