JOB DESCRIPTION

AAA Canada is looking for a Methods planer with experience to join our team. The Candidate must have the ability to use computers and associated software (estimating program etc.) as well as the MRP system to carry out the objectives and work to be performed, stated above. The ability to read, understand and correctly interpret technical documents is required. Organizational skills and the ability to communicate detailed information through work instructions as well as oral communication with the work force is a necessary part of the job

Responsibilities

Analyze and read Aerospace prints Prepare planning associated with the parts Develop manufacturing procedures for assembly, composites and manufacturing Estimate costs for assembly, composites and manufacturing using an engineering model Obtain cost and material estimates from sub-contractors Plan flow of parts  Meet all engineering/customer specifications such as required material finishes, processing of materials and quality requirements. Work with MRP system, tool orders, Item masters, planning, DOC control functions etc. Knowledge of shop floor in Assembly, Composites and Manufacturing Develop and carry out work study and related programs Conduct work measurement or other studies Collect and compile operational or sample data and assist in the development of estimates, schedules, specifications and reports Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports Develop integrated manufacturing procedures Analyze cost of reduction Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs Use CAD data Visit other facilities to coordinate work and assist fabrication Assure configuration control to contract. May perform other related duties as required by the company

Skills and qualifications

Equivalent 4 years high school plus Job experience for 3 to 5 years. Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering certificate/degree would be an asset You have experience in the field of aeronautics. You demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. You know the SAP software & MS Office very well, including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel, Catia V5. You are a good team player with strong communication skills, which ensures the interface with the many business partners involved. You need to demonstrate superior organizational and leadership skills and you need to be comfortable in a dynamic and changing work environment.

Required experience

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
