We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for performing polysomnograms for the diagnosis and treatment of central and obstructive sleep disorders. You will also be involved in the titration and management of positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving requisitions and preparing patients for specific studies
  • Entering relevant data into a computerized database
  • Conducting various tests involving non-invasive techniques
  • Monitoring patient during procedures and recording measurements
  • Formulating technical reports for interpretation by medical staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in a healthcare discipline such as respiratory therapy, nursing or electroneurophysiology technology
  • A minimum of one year's recent, related experience in sleep study work
  • Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR-C)
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately CAD $40,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a municipal pension plan.
