At Strathcona Long Term Care, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide personalized care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing basic care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assisting with meal service, including serving trays and feeding patients as needed.
  • Performing tasks related to patient comfort and care, such as making beds and maintaining patient rooms.
  • Supervising exercise routines and assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Answering call signals and determining resident needs.
Work Setting and Conditions
  • This is a physically demanding role, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • As a member of our team, you will work in a long-term care center, providing care and support to residents in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
